Since 2007, IRC has worked with refugees and other vulnerable populations in Jordan. Working in coordination with the humanitarian community and the Government of Jordan, the IRC's assistance programs for children in Jordan include both camp-based (Zaatari, and Azraq camps) and urban-based refugee assistance (Mafraq, Ramtha, Irbid).

Project Background:

IRC is committed to supporting individuals in enhancing their employability skills. Some of our projects are coming to an end. As a result some staff will have to be let go at the end of the funding cycle. As part of our commitment, we recognize the importance of providing comprehensive training on CV writing and interview techniques to help these staff to effectively present themselves to potential employers and increase their chances of securing employment.

Objective:

The primary objective of this consultancy is to deliver tailored training sessions on CV writing and job interview techniques to IRC Staff. The training aims to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to create compelling CVs and perform confidently during job interviews.

Specific Tasks:

The consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:

· Conduct a thorough assessment of the target audience's current understanding and proficiency in CV writing and interview techniques.

· Develop customized training materials and resources to address the specific needs and levels of the participants.

· Deliver interactive training sessions on CV writing, covering topics such as structuring CVs, highlighting key achievements, writing cover letters and tailoring content to specific job opportunities.

· Conduct training sessions on job interview techniques, including preparing for interviews, answering common interview questions, and showcasing skills and experiences effectively.

Provide practical exercises and role-playing activities to enhance participants' understanding and application of the training content.

· Offer personalized feedback and guidance to participants to support their individual development.

· Prepare and submit a comprehensive training report outlining the activities conducted, participant feedback, and recommendations for further improvement.

Qualifications

Consultancy Requirements:

The ideal consultant should possess the following qualifications and expertise:

· Demonstrated experience in delivering training on CV writing and interview techniques, preferably in a similar context.

· Familiarity with non-profit and profit sector and it’s specific requirements on desired skills, values, attitudes and technical qualifications ()

· Demonstrated experience and Strong knowledge of best practices in recruitment and HR processes.

· Excellent communication and facilitation skills in Arabic and English.

· Ability to engage diverse groups of participants and adapt training content to their needs.

· Relevant educational background or certifications in HR, career development, or related fields.

· Proven track record of having served as senior HR professional in international organisations including with non-profit sector.

Payment Schedule:

Payment will be made per the agreed-upon schedule and upon satisfactory completion of deliverables as outlined in the consultancy agreement.

· Training curriculum and materials tailored to the needs of the target audience.

· Completed training sessions on CV writing and interview techniques.

· Training report summarizing the outcomes, participant feedback, and recommendations.
