This is a hybrid position which requires 8 days per month in the office. You can be based in our office in London, The Hague, India or Kenya. Schedule flexibility is required as in this position as you will work with our country offices around the globe.

About the Program:

The WRI Human Resources team strives for operational excellence. We are in the process of implementing Workday, our first ERP, throughout the organization. Our go-live target date is September 2025. This requires replacing 13 separate software programs currently used throughout the organization, and in this role, you will lead the HR component.

Job Highlight:

Reporting to the Global Director, Compensation, Benefits & Analytics, you will collaborate with the WRI Global IT Team to design and implement our Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system. You will work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective solutions within the Workday platform. This role requires a strong understanding of HR processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across different regions.

What will you do:

HCM Functional Expert (25%):

  • Gather and analyze business requirements from HR stakeholders and translate them into functional specifications for system configuration and customization
  • Stay informed about Workday updates, new features, and best practices, and proactively identify opportunities to leverage them to enhance system functionality and efficiency

Implementation Lead (Next 15 months) (50%):

  • Collaborate with Global IT to design, develop, test, and deploy Workday integrations, reports, and workflows
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Workday HCM-related inquiries, issues, and enhancement requests
  • Participate in project planning, implementation, and post-implementation activities, including system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and change management
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday HCM modules, including but not limited to Core HCM, Compensation, and Benefits, to meet business needs
  • Provide user support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for Workday HCM-related problems, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.

Capacity Building for HR team/ Managers (25%):

  • Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and user guides to support end-users and ensure effective utilization of the Workday system
  • Reporting & Ongoing Governance: conduct regular audits and assessments of Workday configurations and data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data integrity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and business stakeholders, to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance the overall effectiveness of the Workday HCM platform
  • Support teams and colleagues across multiple global time zones (including US)
  • Regular reporting of project implementation progress to the HR management team

What will you need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Workday HCM certification is highly preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience with Workday HRIS including configuration, implementation, and supports
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices, including but not limited to employee lifecycle management, compensation management, benefits administration, and talent management
  • Experience with Workday reporting, integrations, and data conversion tools, preferred
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools is a plus
  • Languages: Fluent in English

Potential Salary: UK salary range is between 53 - 67k GBP.NL: 67K – 84K EUR. GER: 60K – 82K EUR. Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors.
