  • Create visually appealing interfaces that align with the overall theme and branding of the learning site. This includes designing the layout, color scheme, typography, and overall look and feel of the site.
  • Ensure a positive user experience by designing intuitive navigation and interactive elements. Consider the user journey, information architecture, and how learners will interact with different features.
  • Develop and design visually appealing multimedia content to ensure the learning site is appealing and user-friendly.
  • Work closely with instructional designers and content creators to visually represent educational concepts.
  • Design with accessibility in mind, ensuring that the site is usable by individuals with diverse abilities. This includes considerations for color contrast, text readability, and the use of alternative text for images.

We are looking for two Online Volunteer who under the guidance of learning coordinator and in close collaboration with the communications team support us by producing several graphic designs for our communication and learning site. In particular, the Online Volunteer is asked to: - Collect information on document/material background such as target audience, design style, branding guidelines etc.; - Create draft design based on requirements and discuss with focal point/ communications team; - Develop the design according to agreed requirements.

The design/layout should follow our corporate design guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance.

The Online Volunteer/s will have the opportunity to build connections with the humanitarian learning team at UNFPA and learn about the ways in which graphic design can support in bringing awareness to our mandated areas in preventing GBV and enhancing sexual reproductive rights for all.

Candidates should have professional experience in graphic design with previous experience in designing document layouts, and must have in-depth knowledge of graphic design applications, as well as good verbal and written communication skills. A degree in graphic design or related field is considered an asset.
