Context: This volunteer assignment assumes a vital role in evaluating learning trends, offering a profound impact on UNFPA's dedication to humanitarian themes, capacity development, and evidence-based decision-making. The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is committed to ensuring universal access to sexual and reproductive health, fostering gender equality, and enhancing population dynamics.

Contribution to UNFPA's Objectives: As an online volunteer supporting with data analytics, your primary task is to dissect learning trends, specifically focusing on capacity development within humanitarian themes. Your analytical insights will serve as a compass, guiding UNFPA in refining strategies and interventions. Through this, UNFPA aims to fortify its global initiatives and programs, ensuring they align with the evolving needs in humanitarian contexts.

Background Context: This role is part of a broader initiative centered on strengthening UNFPA's capacity development efforts across various humanitarian themes. Your work will directly intersect with ongoing programs addressing critical issues such as gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health in crisis situations, and the overall intersectionality of challenges faced by vulnerable populations. The objective is to utilize analytics for informed decision-making, subsequently enhancing the impact of UNFPA's humanitarian projects.

We are looking for two Online Volunteers who under the guidance of humanitarian learning coordinator support our organization/project team with conducting a qualitative/quantitative data analysis. The Online Volunteers will be responsible for: - Discuss and consolidate indicators and datasets for the analysis exercise - Develop research question and define method and tool for the analysis - Suggest indicators and tabulation plan to conduct analysis - Conduct analysis of data and identify relevant trends, patterns, and key findings - Develop a report, according to agreed reporting plan, including visualization and narrative interpretations of findings as required

The Online Volunteers will be provided with datasets to conduct the analysis and is required to update on the progress during regular calls.

The Online Volunteers will have the opportunity to build connections with the learning team at UNFPA-HRD and learn about the ways in which data can support capacity development across humanitarian themes.

Candidates should have advanced computer skills and proficiency in analytical software (e.g., SPSS, SATA etc.). Strong analytical and writing skills as well as ability to provide and present data in a concise manner is required. A degree in data analytics, mathematics, statistics, or other related fields is considered an asset.
