Support GBV projects through translation and collaboration

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree or Advanced university degree in social work, public health, gender, law/human rights, international relations, or related social science disciplines
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience with bachelor's degree or advanced university degree
  • Fluency in French and English is required
  • Ability to express clearly and concisely ideas and concepts in written and oral forms
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Under the overall guidance of the GBV Team Leader and the daily supervision by the GBV Program Specialist, the online volunteer will work with the GBV Unit of the UNFPA DRC country office and will support in tasks within the general portfolio of humanitarian and development GBV projects.

  • Translate project documents (tools, training materials, reports, etc.) from French to English and vice versa
  • Collaborate with GBV colleagues on all other tasks where support is needed;

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or Advanced university degree in social work, public health, gender, law/human rights, international relations, and/or other related social science related disciplines.

Knowledge and Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience with bachelors’ degree or advanced university degree Ability to express clearly and concisely ideas and concepts in written and oral forms Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

Languages: Fluency in French and English is required.
