Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW

The Global Employee Relations Project Coordinator is a new role which will join the IRC Global HR team, and report to the Global Employee Relations Partner.

You will be key in contributing to the achievement of the IRC People Strategy goals, by applying leading practice project management principles to support our efforts to strengthen our capacity and infrastructure. You will coordinate the successful delivery of the Global ER learning project to upskill over a hundred HR leads globally, as well as facilitating the ER team continuous improvement initiative to help streamline work processes.

The Project Coordinator will work remotely either from Geneva, Switzerland, or London UK.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ER Learning Project

- Coordinate the ER learning project activities to ensure they are in scope, on budget and successfully meet objectives. - Engage with the project’ team and cross-functional staff to coordinate, schedule, and track project activities and deliverables with relevant partners, to ensure efficient and timely delivery - Accurately supervise the planning of global workshops and online learning sessions to identify inter dependencies, flag any risks or issues, and ensure cohesion in the delivery of every activity - Develop compelling weekly status reports to update partners on project status, define optimal approach to collect this information - Design presentations for project team members - Liaise with vendors and global IRC staff to coordinate workshop logistics, handle communication with participants - Apply established criteria and standard methodology tools to measure and report the success of learning project activities - Partner with the Ethics and Compliance project manager on development of new case management system to embed ER requirements and enable further decentralization to local HR.

ER Continuous Improvement

- Leverage technology to increase Global ER work processes automation - Support Continuous Improvement by facilitating team’s discussions, and optimizing ER workflows, to reduce inefficiencies, highlight priorities and streamline workload - Own the development and updating of ER documentation and intranet page - Provide support where needed as the team and function continue to evolve/grow.

Project Management Approach

- Collaborate with vendors and IRC colleagues to ensure content is made available in multiple languages, as needed - Demonstrate ability to handle changing priorities and ambitious timelines - Monitor metrics to assess efficiency of above initiatives and prepare reports for use with IRC Leadership.

Experience

- Bachelor’s degree and PM Certification or equivalent - A minimum of 3 years of solid experience in project management, including coordination with multiple and diverse partners, internally and externally - Experience in HR, Employee Relations, or Learning - Track record of handling large-scale HR projects with minimum supervision in a fast-paced and multi-cultural environment - Experience capturing quantitative and/or qualitative data, analyzing and identifying trends, and providing practical recommendations based on data analysis - Experience working in the humanitarian context or with another purpose-led organization is helpful but not crucial.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Technology savvy, proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and Power Point; - Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English is required, for discussions, presentations, and reports - Robust time management skills - Excellent interpersonal skills, collaborative with positive demeanor and ability to communicate with global and multicultural audiences - Must operate with a high standard of integrity and have a genuine interest in Employee Relations - Openness to receive critical feedback in pursuit of continuous professional growth - French, Arabic and/or Spanish a plus - Flexible to connect with staff across global time zones - Willingness to travel
