Job Overview:

The mission of the Learning and Development Team is to take the IRC’s people to the next level. The team is responsible for improving the productivity of IRC staff by providing tools, processes, and guidance for effective performance management, onboarding and orientation, staff and leadership development, and quality individual and team learning.

The Global Performance Management Lead will have responsibility for setting the direction and philosophy for the way IRC manages performance and accountability to performance standards for our global staff. They will review the current process, look for opportunities to improve, make recommendations and develop a long term strategy. In addition, the Lead will manage the current global process (in Workday and in paper formats) to ensure a high quality program. This role offers an opportunity to shape the future direction of managing performance using innovative, user-centered design and tools.

Responsibilities

- Review current state of performance management processes. Then think outside-the-box to design and pilot new processes, systems, tools, and approaches for supporting and evaluating high-quality employee performance. - Find opportunities to enhance the manager and employee relationship. Partner with HR community to ensure the program is well understood and supported. - Manage all operational aspects of the Global Performance Management program. Provide subject matter expertise for strategic direction of program. - In coordination with HR Operations, identify and implement improvements to performance tools in Workday. Explore additional tools to drive performance processes. - Collaborate with Compensation Team to better define and support the relationship between performance and salary planning. - Incorporate accountability measures for GEDI (Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) goals and provide analytical support for reporting purposes. - Develop communications and programs to ensure high level of understanding and engagement with the performance process. - Create and deliver training on topics such as goal-setting, feedback and performance discussions. - Collaborate with translation focal points to ensure materials are multilingual. - Embed organizational values and leadership standards into performance processes, and incorporate performance concepts and expectations into broader learning programs such as onboarding and manager training.

Skills and Experience:

- Work experience: 8-10 years - Deep performance management expertise - Change management expertise

· Demonstrated skills and competencies:

o Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills

o Attention to detail

o Able to prioritize multiple tasks and projects

o Able to interact within a multi-cultural environment and with all levels of the organization

· Language Skills: Fluency in English required. Fluency in French, Spanish or Arabic a plus

· Technical skills:

o High proficiency with Microsoft Office including Teams and/or other distance learning tools

o Experience with Workday
