You have:

  • Native or fluent in English is required.
  • Specialized education or training in communications, writing and copyediting is required.

The Web Platforms team of UNEP is seeking three Online Volunteers to support us in achieving the highest quality and consistency of the website by reviewing and copyediting content of unep.org and affiliated sites in English.

The Online Volunteers will be expected to: - review and copyedit the content of assigned web pages, including graphics, photo captions, tags and SEO descriptions etc; - follow UNEP terminology and language practice, including proposing additions to our editorial guidelines; and - ensure content and presentation is accurate across series and in line with our communication guidelines. The selected Online Volunteers will be provided with links to web pages for review and copyediting, along with requested timelines for completion, and will receive guidance on UNEP terminology, communications guidelines, as well as other guidance as needed.
