The Opportunity

The key purpose of this post is to coordinate and provide full support to the recruitment operations at the country office level, this role will be responsible to provide effective support and co-ordination to the HR Manager/Director including coordination the country office stakeholders.

The role will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with the policies and procedures of these core responsibilities and implementing best practices aligned with the organizational recruitment frameworks. The role holder is expected to support, particularly with the recruitment and selection requirements; from creation of needed roles, reviewing Job descriptions; announcements; creation on recruitment system requests; data management and execution until the onboarding step. The role holder will ensure coordinating with other HR team/business partners on the needed steps, from updating recruitment tracker, updating the payroll focal point in the team on payroll changes forms and ensuring employees compliance to the Save the Children policies and procedures.

To provide a professional, contingent role to the SCI Country Office in Egypt and to support the HRM/D in Talent Acquisition related tasks including providing support for National recruitments, Compensation of employees, reviewing hiring documents and completion of new hires staff databases.

As a member of the HR Team, you will be responsible for supporting HR team on ensuring effective coordination and documentation on hiring documentation and compensation terms, ensuring the data base of HR systems are updated.

The main focus and level of effort of the role holder is around 80% on recruitment and selection.

In order to be successful, you will bring/have:

• University degree in business/related field; Certification in Human Resources is a plus

• 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources management, particularly with recruitment &selection for at least 5 to 7 years

• Proven experience in HR as generalist.

• Fluent in written and spoken Arabic and English language.

• Excellent knowledge of computer programs.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

• Good level of experience of data management and reporting

• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage time and prioritize under pressure.

• High level of initiative and ability to work with little supervision.

• Proactive in identifying difficulties and working cooperatively to solve them.

• A commitment to the values and principles of SC

• Strong Knowledge of labour legislation & personnel management

• Knowledge or experience of INGO work desirable

• Computer literate (including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and databases)

• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and discretion with confidential information

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Support management of recruitment processes up to Snr. Officer level including pipeline processes.

• Coordinate with the Co programme team/support functions and stakeholders, their recruitment plans, ensuring related supporting documents are completed and as per budget allocations of roles.

• Support in the recruitment cycle on recruitment systems, starting from creating a requisition, advertising, managing the received applications, changing status, updating different stages.

• Manage, track and update Oracle in timely manner, ensuring all data are up to date and all employees are properly registered.

• Ensure programme met HR standards with regards to talent acquisition and recruitments frameworks such as: (recruitment and selection policy/practices, safe recruitment standards, utilization of proper JD templates, etc) ensuring compliance with SC global standards and policies and procedures along with Egyptian Labour Law and Staff Handbook.

• Responsible for the day-to-day management of HR recruitments issues in Egypt Country office Programme, in accordance with the applicable HR policies and procedures and the recruitment framework.

• Coordinate in collecting data for Payroll, HRIS, ER, Mena pay and other relevant HR data systems and reporting tools that will be launched such as Oracle.

• Support HR colleagues in the induction whenever needed (10/20% of the time)

• Responsible for staff recruitment process, including review of requested role JD’s, share with relevant HR business partner in case job evaluation is needed, review the submitted supporting documents, advertising, screening, Issues and renews contracts of employment in coordination with relevant managers.

• Always keeps and maintains all personnel files in a complete state, including pre-employment documents, credentials, leaves, social and medical insurance, as part of the recruitment completion cycle.

• Manages, monitors and maintains the issuance of extensions, separations from service as needed.

• Coordinate when needed with the Regional Office on any changes, new hires and separations for international staff (under clear guidance of the HRM/D)

• Support the HRM/D in assigned tasks when/as needed. ( i.e. reviewing the Co recruitment framework and policies in line with SCI Global policies).

• Update CO recruitment trackers regularly, ensuring plans are executed in timely manner, and turnover replacements are properly filled on time.

• Support management of recruitment processes up to Snr. Officer level including pipeline processes.

• Contract management of staff (including staff contracts, extension, amendments)

• Work closely with Compensation & Benefits Officer to ensure effective/proper remuneration is developed
