This task is critical to a larger initiative aimed at alleviating poverty and combating malnutrition through sustainable agriculture in the district. By refining and deploying this research instrument, you will help tailor our programs to the specific needs and resources of the community, ensuring our interventions are effective and sustainable.

Our organization emphasizes local involvement and the strategic use of both local and government resources to foster sustainable agricultural practices. The data collected through this research will be instrumental in shaping our strategies and interventions.

We are seeking Online Volunteers to review, enhance, and deploy a research instrument designed to assess the needs of local communities, farmers, and government support for sustainable agriculture projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting a thorough review of the current draft of the research instrument to ensure it effectively captures essential data on community needs, local farming practices, and available government resources.
  • Suggest improvements to increase the clarity, relevance, and comprehensiveness of the questionnaire.
  • Collaborating via email and participating in scheduled virtual meetings with our project team to discuss revisions and enhancements.
  • Deploying the finalized questionnaire using KoboToolbox, ensuring it is ready for data collection and meets project requirements.
  • Providing weekly status updates to coordinate with project timelines and ensure timely deployment.

Proven experience in developing or reviewing research tools, especially within the contexts of agriculture, community development, or related fields. Strong analytical skills with a capability for providing clear, actionable feedback. Proficiency in using KoboToolbox or similar platforms for deploying research instruments and collecting data. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting. A background in sustainable agriculture or community-based development programs is highly preferred. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a virtual team.
