Result of Service To provide effective and efficient support to the PMC (HR) team during heavy workload period.

Work Location Beirut

Expected duration 01 January 2022 until 30 June 2022

Duties and Responsibilities Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Chief of the People Management Central (PMC) or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the IC HR Assistant will:

  • Assist HR Partners with various administrative and logistical tasks;
  • Provide general office support services;
  • Draft and/or process a variety of correspondence and other communications;
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining data files for candidates, arranging for interviews, data entry and analysis;
  • Assist in the evaluation and screening of applications of candidates for various positions;
  • Prepare agenda and provide relevant documentation required for recruitment related meetings;
  • Set up and maintain reference files/records (electronic and paper);
  • Schedule appointments/meetings, monitor deadlines, etc.;
  • Undertake research on a range of HR related issues and assist in the preparation of notes/reports.
  • Assist with various HR related statistics and prepare periodic reports;
  • Perform a variety of administrative duties (e.g. leave recording, request for office supplies and equipment, etc.);
  • Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

    Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent is required Experience: Previous experience in human resources, general office support, administrative services or related area is desired. Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat, and Arabic is a working language of ESCWA. For this post, fluency in English is required and fluency in Arabic is desirable.
