The People and Performance Group (PPG) is a strategic HR function for UNOPS, based in UNOPS headquarters in Copenhagen. We are focused on partnering with key stakeholders to shape the UNOPS HR strategy and building a workforce and culture that enables the organization to deliver on its strategy. PPG is also at the forefront of UNOPS HR transformation journey.

We are recruiting an enthusiastic talent attraction professional to contribute to position UNOPS as

an inclusive employer of choice globally and build internal capacity. The role will be required to support key recruitment talent outreach and employer branding related initiatives.

This is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen UNOPS global talent acquisition strategy within the United Nations family and have an active contribution to UNOPS Strategic Plan.

Functional Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Talent Outreach Advisor or his/her delegate, you will be working together with the talent outreach team and other relevant stakeholders to design and implement recruitment talent outreach and employer branding related initiatives as well as training materials.

You will mainly work on three (3) functional areas: employer branding, recruitment outreach, and capacity building as described below:

  • Contribute to develop an employer branding strategy to position UNOPS as an inclusive employer of choice
  • Develop and promote recruitment branding initiatives to build awareness among specific talent audiences
  • Design and implement employee advocacy programme or similar
  • Develop, implement and facilitate training initiatives for personnel, in particular for UNOPS leadership and management, on the use of social medial and relevant networks to attract diverse talent
  • Contribute to develop communication materials and training to brand UNOPS as employer of choice at various networking and industry events
  • Contribute to the development of trainings on employer branding for units / field offices and support their implementation
  • Contribute to develop innovative recruitment campaigns including media, print, web/online content and event promotion.Produce various materials and as required in the campaigns and strategy
  • Provide recommendations on best practices and trends related to attracting, retaining, and promoting a diverse workforce.
  • Lead recruitment activities to ensure a diverse pool of candidates is attracted to UNOPS.

Education/Experience/Language requirements

Education:

  • An advanced degree in Communication, Human Resources, Journalism, Political Science, Psychology, Marketing, or other related field would be desirable.
  • Alternatively, a combination of Bachelor’s degree with an additional 2 years of relevant work experience, may be accepted in lieu of advanced degree.

Experience: - A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in employer branding and/or talent attraction that drives diversity & inclusion is required - Experience in developing contents or assisting the delivery of learning initiatives is highly desirable - Experience in working on employee engagement/advocacy initiatives or similar is highly desirable - International experience and /or work experience in the development sector is highly desirable

Language Requirements: - Fluency in English - Fluency in French or Spanish is an advantage

Contract type: ICA Contract level: IICA-2 Contract duration: Retainer, subject to organizational requirements, availability of funds and satisfactory performance.
