HR Assistant (f/m/d)

Bonn/Berlin | as soon as possible

Fulltime/parttime (32-40h) | fixed-term (6 months)

IRC Germany was established in 2016 in order to further enhance the profile of the German humanitarian and development sector and to provide further opportunities for advocacy on behalf of the people we serve. Since its establishment, IRC-DE has grown rapidly and has representations in Bonn and Berlin. It is working with major German statutory donors, like the German Federal Foreign Office, KfW, and GIZ. IRC-DE is also cooperating with German civil society organizations. The IRC in Europe also has offices in Brussels, Stockholm, Geneva, and London, and a sister organization in The Hague.

This role will support the recruitment and onboarding of staff working on IRC’s Ukraine response.

Key Accountabilities

- Supporting staff recruitment processes, including handling of the application and shortlisting process, liaising with candidates and scheduling of interviews, - Prepare offers and contracts and collecting required documentation at the offer stage - Input staff data accurately and efficiently into the HRIS database and ensure information is up to date - Process payroll - Escalate more complex HR queries to HR Business Partner and HR Operations Manager - Foster a positive work environment with a good team spirit - Undertake other duties as assigned by management and commensurate with the level of this post

Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years’ administrative experience – payroll experience - Excellent communication skills and high service orientation - Polish, German and English language skills on at least C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference. - Good knowledge of MS Office - Knowledge of Workday and Cornerstone is an asset

The employment contract will initially be limited to 6 months with the aim of extension.
