Duties and Responsibilities
The individual contractors will support the CMS Secretariat in revising the French and Spanish translation of several Resolutions adopted during the 14th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP14), which took place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, in February 2024. Specific tasks and responsibilities • Revise and edit the existing French translation of 23 Resolutions amended by the COP (approx.70000 words) • Revise and edit the existing Spanish translation of 10 new Resolutions adopted by the COP and 23 Resolutions amended by the COP (approx. 91000 words).
Qualifications/special skills
Native level command of French and/or Spanish is essential. Demonstrated experience working with large documents, with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Experience in the translation or publications field is desirable. Past experience with CMS is a highly desirable.Knowledge of terminology used in the UN, UNEP and the CMS Secretariat.
Languages
