Result of Service
o Assessment of the current UNICRI websites situation; o Identification of a common and widely used UN Drupal template; o Upgrade of the Drupal instances to the latest available and stable version and migration of the Wordpress website to Drupal; o Design and visual conceptualization of the UNICRI websites; o Backup and migration to a cloud infrastructure; o Full list of SOPs for the involved stakeholders; o Final training for the maintenance and consolidation of UNICRI websites.

Duties and Responsibilities
Specific tasks to be performed by the consultant:
Under the supervision of the IT Assistant, and the overall guidance of the Chief, Public Information Unit, the Web Developer will be required to perform the following tasks:
• Assessment of the current websites
- all UNICRI portals/websites need a deep assessment and consolidation, so the first step is to obtain a clear picture of the current situation and state of work of the UNICRI platforms;
• Identification of a common and widely use UN template
- In coordination with the IT and Communication department the consultant shall pick one the available Drupal templates to align the UNICRI websites to the latest UN standards;
• Upgrade of Drupal Instances
- Considering the initial assessment, the consultant will be responsible of the upgrade of the UNICRI websites to the latest Drupal version. In the specific framework of the onuitalia.it website a complete migration to the latest Drupal instance is required;
• Design, and visual conceptualization of the UNICRI Websites
- In coordination with the Communication department the consultant will be responsible of the following tasks:
- Re-conceptualization of UNICRI websites structure (including but not only the Home Page)
- Consolidation of the migration from the previous unicri.it website;
- Completion of the migration process from unicri.it to unicri.org domain (including but not only the various certificate and redirections);
- Consolidation of the mobile visualization (from mobile phones and tablets);
- Brandization of UNICRI websites considering the social networks involved;
• Backup and Migration
- In coordination with the IT Department the consultant shall complete the migration of the website to a new and cloud based virtual machine including the process of backup and risk assessment process;
• Documentation
- The consultant shall provide a full list of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for every necessary intervention required on the various UNICRI websites;
- The consultant shall provide a full and deep documentation of the used technologies and their consequent implementation;
• Training
- The consultant will be responsible for a list of trainings to the various stakeholders involved, like for example IT Department unit and Communication department for the content management;
Qualifications/special skills
At least a Master’s degree in Information Technology, system engineering, management information system, or related discipline is required. A bachelor’s degree in the same fields and in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the Master’s degree. At least five years of experience in IT developing, deploying, and updating is required. Experience with PHP, MySQL, SQL queries is required. Experience with content management systems including Drupal is required. Experience with Linux and Windows operating system administration is required. Experience with internal or external clients for conceptualizing, developing, and presenting creative solutions is highly desirable. Experience with supporting technologies, including but not limited to version control systems (Git / SVN), continuous integration, and configuration management is desirable. Experience with the United Nations or similar international organizations is desirable.
Languages
Proficiency in English (oral and written fluency) is required for this post.
