Since 2019, the Mexico Country Office has expanded its operations to three field offices on the borders of US-Mexico and Mexico-Guatemala. Given the current traction and relevance of Mexico CO’s response to migration issues and the relevance of UNICEF’s work in the border states, additional resources have been mobilized to position the organization’s development and humanitarian agenda.

Furthermore, with the exacerbation of internal displacement in the states of Michoacán and Guerrero, Mexico CO has committed to expanded efforts in violence prevention and response in the states of origin. Finally, Mexico CO’s ambition to scale up its initiatives in the country also extends to fundraising, where the prospects of field sites are being analyzed to complement the field offices and field teams that the CO has at present.

In this context of a territorial and strategic expansion of programmes and fundraising in the country, Mexico CO requires the expertise of a Chief of Field Operations (CFO).
