The contents will be used for UNITAR support to a consortium of actors working in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Topics include: Social Cohesion, Monitoring and Evaluation, Training and Learning, Community-led peacebuilding, Civil Society action

The online volunteers will work in close collaboration with the project team in translation of training material on the subject matters of social cohesion, peace, traning and facilitation, and monitoring and evaluation.

Most contents will be drafted by UNITAR team in English, needing translation into Swahili and Lingala respectively. Some content may be intiially written by UNITAR in French. Occasionally, materials may need translation from Swahili and Lingala into English. The estimated workload will be 1,000 to 1,500 words per week over the course of 2 and half months.

A team of 2 volunteers will collaborate, switching between roles as translator and proof-reader of contents, for each language. The volunteers may also be expected to give feedback on each other’s work.

Experience in translation; full profficiency in English, Swahili or Lingala, and French; peacebuilding; training and learning expertise
