Contract
This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.
The contents will be used for UNITAR support to a consortium of actors working in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Topics include: Social Cohesion, Monitoring and Evaluation, Training and Learning, Community-led peacebuilding, Civil Society action
The online volunteer will work in close collaboration with the project team in translating materials for social media posts, and occassionally to support with training material translations, on the subject matters of social cohesion, peace, traning and facilitation, and monitoring and evaluation.
Most contents will be drafted by UNITAR team in English, needing translation into French. Some content may be intiially written by UNITAR in French, and need proof-reading. Occasionally, materials may need translation from French into English. The estimated workload will be 1,000 to 1,500 words per work over the course of 2 and half months.
A team of 2 volunteers will collaborate, switching between roles as translator and proof-reader of contents. The volunteers may also be expected to give feedback on each other’s work.
Experience in translation, full profficiency in English and French, peacebuilding, development assistance, training and learning subject matter expertise
