The Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) is designed to support the Green and Resilience Debt Platform (GRDP) project proposal to the Green Climate Fund (GCF). The GRDP aims to leverage green resilience and blue bonds to catalyze private investment in climate action, with a specific focus on climate change adaptation. This project is part of the broader Global Green Bond Initiative (GGBI), facilitated by a consortium of Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) and backed by the European Commission.

The project will be implemented by the UNDP and funded by the Green Climate Fund. The initiative aims to support the Least Developed Countries in fulfilling their National Determined Contributions as part of the global Climate Promise and the UN General Secretary's Agenda to adapt to and mitigate climate change globally. This initiative directly contributes to the SDGs on Climate Change and responsible consumption and production.

We are seeking one Online Volunteer to support us by proofreading Framework on Environmental Social Management in Bengali. To this end, the Online Volunteer is asked:

  • To proofread the document, which is 84 pages long in Bengali language

  • Ensure the translation is concise, in line with our communications guidelines, and fits the audience

The selected Online Volunteer will receive the document in its original language and will receive guidance on the target audience, our communications guidelines, and other guidance as needed.

Candidates should be native speakers of the Bengali Language at the postgraduate research skills level. Familiarity with technical terms related to climate change will be considered an advantage. Previous translation and proofreading experience is considered an asset.

A one-paragraph proofreading text will be requested as part of the selection process.
