Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

As part of the Digital Inclusion and Digital Public Goods focus area, the UNDP Global Centre is hosting the Future of Government Awards 2023 in collaboration with Public Digital and the Amazon Web Services Institute to champion practitioners, teams and leaders who are transforming people’s lives by applying digital solutions and leveraging technology to reform the public sector for those it serves.

There are five different awards: Digital Advocate of the Year Award, Open Source Creation of the Year Award, Open Source Adaptation of the Year Award, Leadership Award and Lifetime Achievement Award.

To inform wider and broader audience on the Awards, we intend to collaborate with Online Volunteers that can support us in translating the social media content regarding the awards.

To spread the word of the Awards, the GC-TISD is seeking support from Online Volunteers with expertise in translation to translate existing social media content regarding the Awards from English to French, and from English to Spanish.

There are 12 social media posts in total – one LinkedIn post, one X (previously known as Twitter) thread, and 10 individual Tweets. The translated social media content should be in line with the respective platform’s posting requirements (i.e. 280 characters for a Tweet).

It is important to us that the Online Volunteers have native level proficiency in French and Spanish.

Communication with the team will also be in English so we also require English language skill as well.

Prior experience in translation would be preferable.
