The volunteer will, to the best of his ability, competently and correctly translate the English version of the document into the Slovak language. The document is used to inform refugees about their opportunities for mental health services. The text may contain some professional vocabulary in a small amount. Most of the document uses ordinary understandable words. The document contains from up to 10 pages in A4 format.

We are seeking 2 Online Volunteers to support us by translating the brochure about mental health services in Slovakia available for refugees from Ukraine from English language to Slovak language. To this end the Online Volunteers are asked: - To translate the document, which is approximately 8-10 pages format A4 long into Slovak - Ensure the translation is concise, in line with our communications guidelines, and fits the audience

The selected Online Volunteers will be provided with the document in the original language and will receive guidance on the target audience and our communications guidelines as well as other guidance as needed. All support during the work of the volunteer will be provided by the host country WHO Slovakia upon request.

The Online Volunteers will have the opportunity to build connections with the World Health Organization Country Office to the Slovak Republic team and learn about the ways in which the translated product contributes to risk communicstion and emergency response, what impact the information has on affected communities and how communication with refugees can be set up.

Candidates should be native in Slovak language and fluent in English language. Familiarity with technical terms related to mental health and psychosocial support topic will be considered an advantage. Previous translation experience is considered an asset. Important is the ability not only to translate, but also to interpret the words (use simply clear and understandable for all people language).
