The OHCHR MENA office in Qatar is consistently engaged in producing reports regarding the human rights conditions in Arab states and crafting concept notes aimed at securing resources for field units throughout the region.
To ensure the accessibility of these documents to a broader audience within the region, we are actively seeking the assistance of Online Volunteers who can assist in translating certain documents from Arabic to English and vice versa.
We are seeking two online volunteers to support us in translating concept notes, agendas and reports.
The volunteers will do the following: - Translate three concept notes (around three pages each) from English to Arabic and vice versa. - Translate 2 reports (15 pages each).
Online volunteers will be provided with the document in the original language and will receive guidance on the target audience and our communications guidelines, as well as other guidance as needed.
Candidates should be Fluent in booth Arabic and English language. Familiarity with technical terms related to Human right will be considered an advantage. Previous translation experience is considered an asset.
It is important to not only to translate, but also to interpret the words (using simple, clear, and understandable language for all).
