The OHCHR MENA office in Qatar is consistently engaged in producing reports regarding the human rights conditions in Arab states and crafting concept notes aimed at securing resources for field units throughout the region.

To ensure the accessibility of these documents to a broader audience within the region, we are actively seeking the assistance of Online Volunteers who can assist in translating certain documents from Arabic to English and vice versa.

We are seeking a team of two online volunteers to support designing promotional material for the Centre including a brochure and a newsletter in addition to preparing a short video on the activities of the Centre. These promotional items will be circulated to all field units serving the region.

The selected volunteers will be divided into two groups. The first will support the layout design, and the second patch will prepare the content for the first pilot as follows: - Designing the layout for the newsletter and brouchre in accordance with OHCHR communication guidelines and being customized to work with Outlook. - Prepare the contents for the first pilot newsletter from existing stories, articles, and other communication materials and prepare content for the Centre’s digital space. - Prepare a video compiling photos of the activities of the Centre throughout 2023. - Adding subtitles for 2 videos.

To achieve this goal, we are seeking the assistance of a dedicated team of online volunteers who possess expertise in graphic design and editorial work. Their role will involve collaborating with us to create promotional material in terms of design and content. It's important to note that both the layout design and content must adhere to our communication guidelines, which will be provided to the volunteers in advance.

For the layout design: - Proven experience in designing layouts for newsletters, brochures and videos. - Ability to customize the design for Outlook.

For content creation: - Previous experience editing newsletters is required. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Bachelor's degree or higher in communications, journalism, or a relevant area. - A good understanding of human rights is a plus.
