Stretch Assignment: Human Resources Associate GS6, Cote d'Ivoire/Abidjan (Onsite)

Title: HR Associate Level: GS6 Reports to: Justin Mbonekube Duration: 3 months Section: HR Location: Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire Dates/Duration: Stretch assignment from 1st of October until 31st of December. Eligibility: All Fixed-Term, Permanent or continuing appointment UNICEF staff members currently working in UNICEF worldwide.

Background

Purpose of the Position

The country office of Cote d'Ivoire will need a support of an experienced human resources associate at the GS6 level, for 3 months (possibility for a renewal). During this period, the selected staff member will support the HR team with:

Ensuring that HR-related processes in the office are executed in accordance with relevant UNICEF Rules & Regulations

Drafting and/or processing a variety of correspondence and other communications

Scheduling appointments and meetings

Performing a variety of administrative duties (e.g., leave recording, etc.)

Maintains and updates the monitoring of staff absences.

Preparing and registering consultant’s contracts in vision

Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Duration This stretch assignment will be for a period of three (3) months.

Minimum Qualifications and Competencies

Funding arrangement This is a temporary development opportunity and there will be no changes to the staff member’s status (position number, level, etc.).

The Office will cover the ticket for economy class travel and 100% of the UN DSA rate during the first 30 days, and 50% DSA for the remaining time.
