UNDP Indonesia, in partnership with the Tanoto Foundation and the Ministry of National Development Planning, establishes the SDG Academy Indonesia to develop capacities of state and non-state actors and leaders from various stakeholders, in the mission of accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) relevant to their context. The Academy aims at strengthening not only the stakeholders’ knowledge about SDGs but also their leadership and managerial skills needed to solve various SDG issues, through the SDG Leadership Program, the SDG Mobile Learning Program, and the SDG Study Abroad Program (on pipeline). After the soft launch at the end of 2019, the SDG Academy Indonesia ramps up its preparation and production on materials development and the digital learning platform construction in 2020. The SDG Leadership Program and the SDG Mobile Learning Program are both launched and continuously promoted to be accessed. The programs are targeting large size of population in Indonesia and it is expected that many will participate actively in the platforms. The preparation of Alun-alun Inovasi and Beranda Inspirasi run concurrently.

To optimize SDG Academy Indonesia’s programs overall implementation, this position is required to support the Project team on a day-to-day basis.

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of SDG Academy Indonesia Director or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV SDG Academy Indonesia Support Officer will:

a) Provide operational supports to the team to ensure effective project planning and implementation focusing on achievement of the following results: • Compiles, summarizes, and presents basic information/data on specific project and related topics or issues. • Implement project standard operating procedures in line with the government and UNDP’s regulations.

b) Provide administration support to the SDG Academy Indonesia in teaching and learning activities focusing on achievement of the following results: • Arrange the activities for each batch in SDG Leadership Program including workshops and mentoring sessions; • Assist in performing analysis of each workshop in all SDG Leadership Program batches; • Assist in overseeing the progress of SDG Leadership Program participants’ performance progress; • Work closely with Teaching Assistants for teaching and learning activities; • Assist in the process of digitization of new learning materials and resources, including proofreads and content editing as needed.

c) Provide support in the preparation, launching and arrangement of knowledge platforms; • Assist in the content curation that will be posted in Alun-alun inovasi and Beranda Inspirasi, including the process of selecting, organizing, and looking after the items in a collection received; • Assist in meeting arrangement with target beneficiaries and stakeholders for Alun-alun Inovasi and Beranda Inspirasi.

d) Providing financial and administrative support to the Project Management Unit focusing on achievement of the following results: • Support the focal point for Administrative and office coordination of project implementation activities to process and follow-up on administrative actions, e.g. recruitment and appointment of personnel, travel arrangements, training/study tours, authorization of payments, disbursement of funds, procurement of equipment and services, security compliance, etc.; • Effective administration of general office matters such as response to simple information requests and inquiries; reviews, logs and routes incoming correspondence; establishment of filling system and maintenance files/records; organization of meetings, workshops; routine administrative tasks, including maintaining attendance records, assessing telephone billing, etc..

e) The incumbent of the position should avoid any kind of discriminatory behavior including gender discrimination and ensure that
• Human rights and gender equality is prioritized as an ethical principle within all actions; • Activities are designed and implemented in accordance with “Social and Environmental Standards of UNDP”; • Any kind of diversities based on ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, disability, religion, class, gender are respected within all implementations including data production; • Differentiated needs of women and men are considered; • Inclusive approach is reflected within all actions and implementations, in that sense an enabling and accessible setup in various senses such as disability gender language barrier is created; • Necessary arrangements to provide gender parity within all committees, meetings, trainings etc. introduced.

f) Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

Results/expected outputs:

• As an active UNDP team member, efficient, timely, responsive, client-friendly and high-quality support rendered to UNDP and its beneficiaries in the accomplishment of her/his functions, including: o Ensuring smooth administration, procurement, and logistics activities for SDG Academy Indonesia; o In charge for tracking budget used for SDG Academy Indonesia; o In charge for content development and production, as well as communication materials; o In charge in transfer knowledge of UNDP procedures and guidelines to external stakeholders (vendor, consultant, etc.); o Supporting overall Program’s operationalization, including but not limited to, teaching and learning journey.

operations, finance, procurement or other administration works is an advantage; • Relevant experience related to training and development, managing workshops, and providing support to manage e-learning platform would be desirable; • Excellent written communication / copywriting skills, and interpersonal skills.

As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials.

-National UN Youth Volunteer receives approximately IDR 6,589,922.42 as Monthly Living Allowance. -Provided with assignment travel cost and entry lumpsum if applicable. -Enrolled in health, life, disability insurance. -Applicable dependents (primary family unit, up to 3) are eligible for health insurance. -Entitled to annual leave, 2.5 days per month. -Provided with exit lumpsum to support transition at the end of assignment.
