UNICEF child protection section focuses its investment on deepening the quality of childcare in the country through strengthening home visits, parenting, and Safe Parks in the country and to bring levels of violence against children down. In the area of Social Policy, the section develops child-sensitive budget and poverty analysis and engages in advocacy and capacity building with the government on these issues. UNICEF South Africa consists of the following sections, in addition to the senior management: Operations, Education, Health, Social Policy and Child Protection and Communications and Partnerships.
