You have:
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in programme support, project or programme coordination, administration, operations, or human resources.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.

The UN Volunteer will be part of the Polio Outbreak Response Team within UNICEF's Global Polio Eradication Programme. Working closely with UNICEF country offices, regional offices, WHO, CDC, Gates Foundation and other Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI) partners the team supports country offices responding to polio outbreaks by coordinating surge personnel, technical assistance, and operational support to ensure timely preparedness and high-quality response activities.
The primary focus of the assignment will be to support the coordination and management of the STOP Programme implemented through UNICEF's third-party contractor.
Under the supervision of the Emergency Specialist, the UN Volunteer will: • Support day-to-day coordination of the consultant’s deployment. • Monitor deployment requests and maintain tracking systems for consultants and surge personnel. • Liaise with country offices, regional offices, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and other partners on deployment requirements and status updates. • Track consultant contracts, deployment timelines, travel arrangements, and extensions. • Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and deployment summaries. • Maintain records and databases related to deployments. • Support coordination meetings and follow up on action points with relevant stakeholders. • Assist with knowledge management, documentation of lessons learned, and preparation of briefing materials.
