How can you make a difference?

Under the guidance and general supervision of the Chief, Education (Level 4), the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Education is based in Suva, Fiji and is accountable for the accomplishment of the stated key end-results in the education programme across the Pacific. This is to be achieved by providing professional expertise and assistance in evidence-based planning, monitoring, and reporting; information/data collection; statistics and data analysis; knowledge management; and M&E design at national, sub-national and programmatic levels; and implementing training programmes for regional, national and sub-national data collection, monitoring, and research capacity building with special attention to results-based management and strengthening of existing monitoring and data management systems, including through Pacific methodologies.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education:

University degree in social sciences, development planning, planning, evaluation, survey implementation, advanced statistical research.

Work Experience:

Professional work experience in programme development and implementation including monitoring and evaluation activities as follows:

Two years of relevant professional work experience. Developing country work experience (for IP) or field work experience (for NO)

At least one instance of exposure to emergency programming, including preparedness planning. Active involvement in a humanitarian crisis response programme preferred

Language Proficiency:

Fluency in English and another UN language. Additional language(s) an asset.
