Youth Co:Lab study on Inclusive Youth Entrepreneurship aims to provide evidence-based information on strengthening an enabling environment for young entrepreneurs from underserved communities. The study analyzes opportunities and challenges faced by these entrepreneurs and explores ways to incorporate an intersectional approach into inclusive youth entrepreneurship support programs. It also provides actionable recommendations to guide programmatic efforts on inclusive youth entrepreneurship.
As part of the study, Youth Co:Lab will conduct large-scale survey to capture challenges often faced by young entrepreneurs in Asia-Pacific. The first round of this survey will be implemented in 5 countries i.e: China, Bangladesh, Philippines Viet Nam, and Thailand. To that end, we intend to collaborate with youth Online Volunteers to support in survey dissemination and data collection by reaching out to the targeted audience of the survey and collecting the responses.
Who can take the survey?
Young entrepreneurs or aspiring entrepreneurs* aged 18 – 35 years, residing in or citizens of Bangladesh, China, Philippines, Viet Nam, or Thailand who belong to or serve/intend to serve marginalized and underserved communities including one or more of the following groups:
- Women
- Persons with disabilities
- LGBTI+
- Indigenous peoples, ethnic minorities, ethnic groups or ethnic tribes
- People on the move, migrants, refugees, Internally Displaced Persons
Expected Output/Deliverables:
- Each Online Volunteer is expected to reach out to at least 20 respondents from the allocated group, throughout the assignment duration.
- Submit record/evidence of survey dissemination and respondents reached by regularly updating the Youth Co:Lab focal point
- Ensure accessibility and support for respondents identified as persons with disabilities
There will be an opportunity for the selected volunteers to coordinate/lead a team.
For the outreach and collection of data on the Youth Co:Lab study on Inclusive Youth Entrepreneurship, we seek support from 10 Online Volunteers, who under the guidance of Youth Co:Lab team will:
- Help disseminate the survey in China for Youth Co:Lab’s study and collect responses.
- Conduct data collection using defined methodology and tools shared.
Successful applicants will be required to join virtual orientation.
Expected Starting Date: 24 October 2023
Candidates should have the following:

- A commitment to meet deadlines and quality standards
- A good network of Entrepreneurs / Aspiring entrepreneurs from one of the groups
- A respect for the confidentiality and ethics of the data collected.
The selected Online Volunteers will receive the required documents in the original language. They will receive guidance on the target audience, and our communications guidelines along with other guidance as needed.
