You have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Formal training or demonstrated experience in graphic design and multimedia content creation is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, PowerPoint and AI technology) and multimedia software.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English and Portuguese.
  • At least one year of experience in communications, graphic design, or related fields.
  • Prior experience with international organizations, NGOs, or development projects is an asset but not a requirement.
  • Strong creative and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality outputs.

The UNDP Mozambique Portfolio team is seeking an Online Volunteer to support the visual communication of its three portfolios. As the portfolios generate technical sessions, field missions, easy-to-read documents, and partner-facing materials, there is a growing need to translate complex development content into clear, professional, and visually compelling formats. The volunteer will support the Portfolio team in producing high-quality visual materials aligned with UNDP branding and communications standards, strengthening the visibility of portfolio results, learning, and partnerships with government, donors, and the public.

In close coordination with the RIMA, Economic Diversification, and Youth Employment Portfolio teams, and under the direct supervision of the Portfolio Analyst – Learning Designer, the Online Volunteer will: • Design infographics, one-pagers, flyers, and fact sheets translating technical portfolio content into accessible, easy-to-read formats for government, partners, and community stakeholders. • Transform technical and narrative content into visually appealing formats, ensuring alignment and consistency with UNDP branding guidelines, which will be provided. • Work in close coordination with the Portfolio team to produce final soft copies ready for printing or online publication, as well as editable source files.

Education and Qualifications:

· A bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Public Relations, or a related field.

· Formal training or demonstrated experience in graphic design and multimedia content creation is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

· Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, PowerPoint and AI technology) and multimedia software.

· Excellent writing and editing skills in English and Portuguese.

· Experience managing social media platforms and analytics tools.

· Basic photography and video editing skills are a plus.

Professional Experience:

· At least one year of experience in communications, graphic design, or related fields.

· Prior experience with international organizations, NGOs, or development projects is an asset but not a requirement. Core Competencies:
