Every year on the 5th of December, we celebrate International Volunteer Day (IVD) to promote volunteering, encourage governments to support volunteer efforts and recognize volunteer contributions to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at local, national and international levels. “The United Nations General Assembly, in its resolution 57/106 of 22 November 2002, called upon the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme to ensure that the potential of International Volunteer Day is fully realized.”

UNV China office is looking for one motivated and professional Online Volunteer to support us in translation of working documents, IVD celebration and communication words on social media.

It is planned to have about 5000-word descriptive document translated. The document is related to UNV's partnership with Chinese partners to facilitate the successful implementation of activities and daily operation work.

Also, the online volunteer will support on IVD translation, including news, advocacy essays etc. It is estimated that the online volunteer will translate 2000-word document for IVD celebration.

Fluent in both Chinese and English; Have translation experiences (EN-ZH; ZH-EN) Have passion to act for promotion of volunteerism.
