You have:
- University degree in social sciences, business management, administration, finance or any other relevant field of discipline.
- Two years of relevant professional work experience with both national and International work experience in office management, administration, finance, accounting, human resources, or any other relevant function.
- Fluency in English, Tajik or Russian is required. Knowledge of another official UN language is considered an asset.
Contract
This is a NO-2 contract. This kind of contract is known as National Professional Officers. It is normally only for nationals. It's a staff contract. More about NO-2 contracts.

UNICEF Tajikistan is co-located with few other UN agencies in a shared premises. UNICEF office acts as lead agency in the overall maintenance of the building and the management of common services in the building that includes electricity, cleaning services, security and relevant other common services. The positions is strategically positioned to contribute effectively towards working with other UN agencies, and acting as a key contact in the development of business operations strategy, to build strong network with the government functionaries and institutions in order for smooth business process, viz. visa issuance, customs clearances, and taxation issues on office cars etc.
The office has presence in four zones of the country, and UNICEF shares premises with UNDP and WFP in the zonal offices. The MoU and the settlement of administrative issues e.g. utilities and travel of field staff, rental cars requires an oversight function. The office also has a priority of office greening, involving among other considerations, the use of solar energies, reducing carbon footprint, minimizing use of paper, efficient use of water resources etc.
How can you make a difference?
As focal point of administrative management services in a country or sub-country office, the incumbent is accountable for delivery of efficient and cost-effective administrative support services, providing guidance for operations of administrative support services and management of administrative staff. Ensures the office’s administrative operations and services are in compliance with the organization's administrative policy, procedures, rules and regulations. Oversees and supports the office HR issues including recruitment of staff, sourcing, consultants hiring, UNVs/ Interns and local volunteers. Represents office at UN forums. Key functions, accountabilities and related duties/tasks:
Within the delegated authority and under the given organizational set-up, the incumbent may be assigned the primary, shared, or contributory accountabilities for all or part of the following areas of major duties and key end-results:
1. Policy, procedures and strategies 2. Budget management 3. Administrative support and services 4. Property management 5. Contract arrangement and control 6. Staff learning and development 7. Partnership, coordination and collaboration 8. Human Resources Management 9. Performs any other duties and responsibilities assigned as required.
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have:
