Job Description

Background of the project:

IRC Jordan Country Program is seeking the services of a skilled and experienced Mid-Level Management Training Consultant to support our company's professional development initiatives. The consultant will be responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive training programs targeted towards mid-level managers (coordinators, senior managers, managers, deputy managers) to enhance their leadership, managerial, and communication skills. The purpose of this TOR is to outline the key responsibilities and qualifications required for the role.

Objectives:

The primary objectives of the Mid-Level Management Training Consultant are as follows:

a. Develop a comprehensive training curriculum: Design a structured and effective training curriculum that addresses the specific needs of mid-level managers, encompassing topics such as leadership skills, performance and people management, decision-making, conflict resolution and hard conversation, crucial confrontation, negotiation skills, stress management, team and self well-being, and emotional intelligence. Extra topic: how to manage Gen Z staff.

b. Deliver engaging training sessions: Conduct interactive and engaging training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques, such as workshops, case studies, role-plays, and group discussions, to facilitate effective learning and skill development.

c. Provide personalized coaching and feedback: Offer one-on-one coaching sessions to mid-level managers, providing them with individualized feedback, guidance, and support to enhance their managerial capabilities.

d. Evaluate training effectiveness: Develop assessment tools and mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs, gather feedback from participants, and analyze data to measure the impact of the training on the managers' performance and overall organizational development.

Key Responsibility

Training needs analysis: Conduct a thorough needs assessment to identify skill gaps and training requirements among mid-level managers through quaternaries and other techniques. Meet with Senior Management Team and Extended Senior Management Team to provide the mission’s roadmap present and to get better understanding of the initial assessment findings

Curriculum development: Design a comprehensive training curriculum that aligns with the identified needs and objectives of the organization. Should be run by Senior Management Team.

Training delivery: Conduct engaging, creative, and interactive training sessions, workshops, and seminars to mid-level managers, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and adult learning principles.

Coaching and mentoring: Provide personalized coaching and mentoring to individual managers, focusing on their specific areas of improvement and professional growth.

Training evaluation: Develop and administer evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness and impact of the training programs, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals.

Documentation and reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports, including training materials, participant feedback, evaluation results, and recommendations for further improvement.

Qualifications

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the Mid-Level Management Training Consultant role should possess the following qualifications and experience:

a. Educational background: A bachelor's or master's degree in organizational psychology, human resources, business administration, or a related field. HR certificate is a plus.

b. Professional experience: 10+ years of experience as a training consultant, with a focus on mid-level management development and leadership training.

c. Expertise in training design and delivery: Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering effective training programs using a variety of instructional techniques and adult learning methodologies.

d. Strong coaching and mentoring skills: Proven ability to provide personalized coaching and mentoring to individuals, enabling them to enhance their leadership and managerial capabilities.

e. Excellent communication skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and facilitate discussions effectively.

f. Analytical and evaluation skills: Proficiency in developing assessment tools, analyzing data, and preparing comprehensive reports to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.

g. Industry knowledge: Expert in the Humanitarian context and understanding of mid-level management challenges and best practices.

Duration and Reporting:

The Mid-Level Management Training Consultant will be engaged on a contractual basis for a period of 40 working days. The consultant will directly report to HR Director & L&D Manager and will work closely with the L&D Manager and relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the training programs.
