The Opportunity

As a senior member of HR department in Cox’s Bazar operations, this position will be mainly responsible for direction of HR functions and coordination with the response program. Responsibilities include, managing the staff development initiatives, recruitment and selection, compensation/benefits, disciplinary procedure and investigation, maintaining employee database and so on. Also s/he will be in his/her capacity is responsible for direction, supervision, capacity-building and evaluation of staff for both emergency and development settings.

Qualifications and experience • At least 6 years’ experience in human resource management, preferably as HR generalist, including 3 years in management level position; • Prior experience in any INGO, particularly in emergency context will be an advantage • Experience of working in remote field bases with limited infrastructure • Proven operational HR track-record – experience of providing generalist HR service across a full range of HR issues • Solid understanding on all functions of HR process • Excellent skills in handling and advising on complex people management issues • Experience of and well-developed skills in recruitment and selection • Good understanding on HR compliances and audit • Understanding staff care for humanitarian staff, in particular approaches to welfare, stress, R&R etc. • Good facilitation skills and ability to deliver induction briefing/training • Strong communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills in English,
