The Role:

The Management Information System (MIS) Expert plays a pivotal role in advancing Plan International's mission in Bangladesh by overseeing the design, development, and implementation of robust management information systems that facilitate data-driven decision-making and enhance program effectiveness. This role aims to strengthen Plan International's capacity to collect, analyze, and utilize data for monitoring, evaluation, and reporting purposes, thereby supporting evidence-based programming and accountability to stakeholders.

What we’re looking for:

We need a self-motivated and energetic individual with Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field is necessary for Management Information System (MIS) roles. A Master’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Computer Information Systems can also be advantageous. Should have ten (10) years of relevant work experience in a reputable national/international NGO or relevant agency in a similar MIS position. He/she should have Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, integration, and database management, with a strong understanding of database design principles and data management best practices. Should demonstrate excellent organizational skills, effective time management, and the ability to work independently with a positive client service attitude with strong attention to detail, ability to multitask and be flexible with changing priorities. Should have in-depth knowledge of rules and regulations of international donors, with experience in navigating donor compliance requirements. Also, working experience with government and development partner-funded projects is preferred, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and manage complex project environments effectively. Should also have, outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
