In Bangladesh, we have set our vision for 2030 as, ‘We will partner to empower girls and young women, to be heard, to live without fear of violence and to achieve their rights’. We have started the new country strategy in July 2020 aiming to achieve this exciting and ambitious vision. This would require the organization to have an effective, efficient and committed workforce willing to challenge the prevailing status quo, engaging men, women, boys, youth people, especially girls and bringing the best out of all to create synergy for movement at all levels – from community to national, and beyond.

The Role:

The Child Care Expert will play a vital role in advancing Plan International's mission in Bangladesh by ensuring the provision of high-quality childcare services that promote the holistic development and well-being of children, with a particular focus on empowering girls and young women. This role aims to create safe and nurturing environments where children can thrive, free from violence, abuse, and exploitation, thereby contributing to the realization of children's rights and equality for girls.

What we’re looking for:

We need a self-motivated and energetic individual with Master’s Degree in Sociology, Social Work, Anthropology, Women’s Studies, Early Childhood Development, or other related disciplines. Should have ten (10) years of relevant work experience in a reputable national/international NGO or relevant agencies in a similar position along with minimum 5 years of experience as a Childcare Professional, demonstrating expertise in offering supervisory oversight within Child Care Centers and providing guidance to caregivers and parents. Should be proficient in the development and implementation of educational and recreational programs, with a focus on fostering the physical, emotional, behavioral, and social skills of children. Must have knowledge and expertise in safeguarding children from violence, abuse, and exploitation. Should have of specialized professional training in the field of early childhood development/childcare. Should demonstrate proficiency in comprehending the sophisticated structure of child caregiver training and proposing enhancements to the system, aiming for improved child development outcomes and increased female workforce participation. Should also have proficiency in report writing, data analysis for decision-making, and participation in strategic planning processes.
