Under the supervision of the Administrative, Human Resources and Operations Associates, supports the section main activities and processes.
Objectives:
- Support to the Supply, Procurement and Contracting area (Sending and receiving offers, document control, contact with suppliers, scheduling of interviews)
- Invoice File
- Control of Suppliers (Registration and control of documentation)
- Inventory of office supplies and storage
- Organization and maintenance of digital archive
- Support to the travel area (calculations, logistics and planning control)
- Other tasks and duties as demanded by section
Deliverables
- Report of calls and documentation.
- Detailed report of digital file and invoices
- Inventory Systematization
Modality: Full Time
Start date: Sept. 20th, 2022 (Aprox)
Workplace: Asuncion, Paraguay Country Office (with possible teleworking to be determined due to Covid-19)
Duration: 26 weeks
Reporting to: The intern will report to the Operations section, based on Asuncion Paraguay.
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. degree programme or have graduated within the past two years, in business management, Economy, Accouning or relevant fields in the area of UNICEF work.
- Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
- Have no immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office.
- Have no other relatives in the line of authority which the intern will report to.
- A relevant background in managing projects, training or other coordination.
- Some familiarity with administrative work and procurement will be desirable
- Developing country work experience is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Skills
Ability to organize own work, set priorities and meet deadlines. Takes initiative to ensure that deadlines, rules and regulations are met. Proactivity. Demonstrates courtesy, tact and ability to work effectively with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
Language Requirements:
Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
