Under the supervision of the M&E officer, supports the section main activities and processes.

Objectives:

  • Gather information about the progress of UNICEF's currently active projects in Paraguay from all available reporting platforms.
  • Compile the main results achieved by the different programmatic areas of the country office.
  • Prepare the notes requesting socio-demographic information on the well-being of children.
  • Verify from the EOYR 2022 which projects are still ongoing and which are new.
  • Write a first draft of the different sections of the End of Year Report 2023.
  • Support the Country Strategic Indicators completeness.

Deliverables

  1. Document with information on the progress of UNICEF's currently active projects in Paraguay.
  2. Compilation document of the main results achieved by the different programmatic areas of the country office.
  3. Notes requesting socio-demographic information on the well-being of children.
  4. List of ongoing and new projects in 2023, and their implementation status: beneficiaries reached in 2023 and main results.
  5. Preliminary draft of the various sections (Output reports) of the End of Year Report 2023.

Modality: Full Time

Start date: 01 August. 2023

Workplace: Asuncion, Paraguay Country Office (with possible teleworking to be determined)

Duration: 26 weeks

Reporting to: The intern will report to the M&E officer, based on Asuncion Paraguay.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or have graduated within the past two years, in social sciences, social work, international development, development studies, economy, political science, or relevant fields within the scope of UNICEF’s work.
  • Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
  • Have no immediate relatives (e.g., father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office.
  • Have no other relatives in the line of authority which the intern will report to.
  • A relevant background in academic writing, technical report writing, and/or grants’ proposal writing
  • Be familiarized with the Results based management approach and/or program logic model, particularly for programme outcome and output reporting.
  • Some familiarity with research would be an asset.
  • Experience/skills in the use of virtual learning and delivery tools – mentimeter, zoom etc would be useful but not essential.
  • Familiarity and skills in assisting virtual workshops are considered an asset but not essential.
  • Developing country work experience is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Language Requirements:

Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
