The People and Culture Group (PCG) is a strategic HR unit, helping UNOPS empower people, drive culture and organizational excellence across the organization in order to help UNOPS deliver on its strategic intent.

We work in a dynamic, team based approach, with an international team, and a drive to get things done. We are currently looking for two enthusiastic and innovative HR Senior Analysts to join the Learning & Development team at UNOPS and contribute to bringing effective and innovative learning opportunities for UNOPS colleagues around the world.

Under the guidance of the Head of Learning & Development, the Senior Analyst will coordinate the implementation of different projects, such as blended learning programs, Induction training programs, skills development initiatives for global audiences, among others..

This role will require an understanding of UNOPS learning needs and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.

The organizational unit is Copenhagen but we could consider accepting applicants willing to be based at locations where UNOPS has a presence, and where basing the role there could be beneficial for the organization.

Functional Responsibilities

Coordination and Implementation - Lead the coordination and implementation of assigned projects/programs. - Supervise the development, coordination, and delivery of learning and development projects/programs. - Explore innovative methods and trends for leadership development training and skills . - Manage relationships with vendors, oversee procurement processes, and ensure successful delivery of programs. - Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate learning initiatives with UNOPS systems, including the HR database. - Monitoring Budget expenditures related to Learning and Development programs and tools, securing compliance with UNOPS processes and stakeholder engagement. - Support strategic initiatives and projects related to Human Resources Management within the PCG

Monitoring and Reporting - Coordinate monitoring and reporting activities for learning data and budget expenditure. - Analyze data from multiple sources and produce comprehensive reports on global learning activities. - Contribute to internal and external reporting on learning and development activities.

Process Documentation and Improvement - Develop and document processes and best practices for managing global learning initiatives. - Ensure continuous improvement and documentation of processes for managing various systems including Learning Management System, and other learning technologies. - Development of training materials and communication pieces to increase information flow and learner engagement. - Engage with and advise regional and HQ focal points on learning and development processes and facilitate effective application of available tools and resources.

Knowledge Management - Coordinate the learning communications strategy and implement activities to create a learning culture at UNOPS. - Ensure that all Learning & Development initiatives are effectively communicated and are aligned with the PCG internal communications strategy. - Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team and across other teams and units. - Provide advice and support to our stakeholders when required.

Team Management - Facilitate the engagement and provision of high quality results and services of the team supervised through effective work planning, performance management, coaching, and promotion of learning and development. - Foster an inclusive work environment, promoting UN values and standards of conduct. - Address underperformance and misconduct in a timely and constructive manner.

Impact of Results The effective and successful achievement of results by the HR Senior Analyst directly impacts on the efficient performance of Learning & Development activities within the organization. Ensuring that UNOPS personnel has the skills and knowledge required to serve and deliver its mission.

Education/Experience/Language requirements

Education - An Advanced University degree in a relevant discipline is required. - Applicants with a Bachelor's degree with additional 2 years of relevant working experience may also be considered.

Experience - A minimum of 2 years of experience in the area of Learning and Development is required. - Knowledge and experience with management of virtual and blended learning programmes is required. - Experience in the creation of learning content development is required. - Experience working in an international environment is required.

  • Experience on the design of Leadership Programmes is desired.

  • Experience in project management is a distinct asset.

  • Knowledge and experience in the development of communication materials and strategy is a distinct asset.

  • Proficiency in the usage of computers and office software packages as well as web-based management systems is required.

Language Requirement

  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Knowledge of either French or Spanish is an asset

Contract type, level and duration

Contract type: International ICA Contract level: IICA1, ICS9 Contract duration: Open-ended, subject to organizational requirements, availability of funds and satisfactory performance.
