You have:
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent degree) in human resources management, business or public administration or a related area is required.
- A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in combination with two years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, conducting recruitment using the staff selection system at the United Nations is required.
- Practical experience analyzing large data sets including visualization using Excel or Power BI in preparing reports is required.
- Knowledge of UN Secretariat human resources policies and procedures related to staff selection.
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
- Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities
Using information provided by the Organization, the individual contractor will conduct a comprehensive analysis of staff selection and appointments for posts of a particular UN Department at the P-5 to D-2 levels made between 1 July 2019 and 31 December 2025. The analysis will focus on diversity indicators, such as nationality and gender, and assess whether hiring practices were in accordance with the Organization’s policies. The individual contractor will carry out a statistical review of all applicants to all staff selections and appointments at the P-5 to D-2 levels for the Department for the period, examining applicant progression through each stage of the hiring process, including long-listing, short-listing, technical assessment, interview, roster placement, and final selection. The statistical analysis will categorize results by posting level, type of job opening, job family, and duration of appointment(s). Where applicable and possible, the contractor will also review the composition and actions of the hiring team, interview-panel members and Hiring Managers, including with respect to diversity indicators, such as nationality and gender. The analysis will further indicate whether selected candidates were internal (existing staff members) or external (individuals not employed by the Organization immediately prior to selection). The individual contractor will: Prepare a report regarding the hiring processes for posts at the P-5 to D-2 levels for the Department, conducted between 1 July 2019 and 31 December 2025, summarizing statistical information and assessing whether hiring practices were in accordance with the Organization’s policies.
