HRM Team - enabling the Centre to operate efficiently, virtually and resolve Human Resource management problems and connect with the world through our website, social media platforms etc. To provide administration/HR support to the Human Resources management Leads in regards to recruitment, training, development, transfers, work-life balance, Certificates, References and recommendations, volunteer information system management and other HRM processes (Talent hiring, Onboarding, Training management, Performance appraisal, Workforce engagement, Motivation management and Compliance management) . Support and co-ordinate recruitment campaigns including drafting ads, placing jobs on the job boards, organising interviews, liaising with candidates; Issue all related paperwork and follow up on reference checks for all new volunteers; Maintain appropriate HR administration systems including HR information database; Support in the organisation of training events

  SODEIT Global Support Centre was established in April 2020 in response to manmade and natural disasters in West and Central Africa and the ongoing local challenges to vulnerable communities in Cameroon and Sierra Leone. The support Centre was launched with over 500 United Nations online volunteers who came together with one mission – to safeguard the vulnerable communities in Cameroon and Sierra Leone. The support Centre operates virtually and is divided into 20 teams led by 40 team leaders from across the world who dedicate over 30 hours per week to this humanitarian aid. Each team member uses the skills learnt so far in life to build a safer, healthier and caring living environment with the other team members who they have not met before and for the people who they do not know so well. However, all of them have a common purpose and no matter how difficult the challenges may be, they are pursuing their best endeavours to change for good. The change has started in April and will be continuing with our global virtual support Centre, a rather new concept we are implementing in the world. We welcome you to join and support as one of us.

• 6-10 hours per week / 24 weeks

  A qualification ideally in a HR related discipline • Demonstrable interest in Human Resources management • Enthusiasm for SODEIT’s aims and are interested in what we do • Can demonstrate an appreciation of confidentiality and exercise discretion • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills • Ability to multitask and meet critical deadlines • A methodological and can do approach to work • Familiarity with MS 365 office and Excel • Ability to work in a multicultural environ.
