Major Responsibilities:

Partner with HR colleagues and business leaders on complex problem solving and give global mobility guidance

• Act as the main point of contact for Global HR, local HR, and IRC management on mobility requests/inquiries, assignment planning, and policy counseling. Provide consultancy services, advice and collaborative support regarding the interpretation and execution of IRC’s global mobility policies and practices

• Providing consultation and cost projections used for workforce planning decisions by HR business partners and senior leaders

Drive continuous improvements to IRC’s global mobility policies and practices

• Develop, assess, and adapt global mobility policies that meet evolving organizational objectives. Ensure policy structures and benefits meet equity, quality, cost, duty of care, and employee satisfaction objectives. Establish standards and practices that improve equity, compliance, employee experience, and organizational consistency

• Partner with IRC leadership and stakeholders in the design of a global strategy for international assignments, relocation, localization, and a multi-national workforce

• Integrate mobility program with various People & Culture strategies such as workforce management, talent development, location strategy, and org planning to help IRC meet business goals

• Work with various departments/teams in the IRC to design efficient coordination of employing HQ staff in international locations, multi-national hiring, and all aspects of international assignments including relocation, repatriation, expense reimbursement, onboarding, etc.

• Maintain expertise of external trends; keep current on market trends and best practices to ensure benefit programs are competitive and identify areas for improvement

Lead global mobility team and administer programs

• Accountable for the global mobility programs, including international assignments, relocation, US immigration, and global workforce location coordination

• Lead the global mobility team, enabling employee development, team building, and performance management

• Serve as HR focal point for U.S. visa and immigration matters

• Manage outsource vendors, including outside immigration counsel, relocation management company, tax provider, and data providers

• Accountable for the administration of key assignment benefits such as shipping, tax briefing, cost of living and hardship allowances

• Manage exceptions to allow flexibility in meeting the needs of the organization, while ensuring fairness in administration of policies and practices

• Act as move coordinator and main point of contact for executive relocations and assignments

Maintain and improve use of global mobility data and metrics

• Oversee the maintenance of mobility data in HRIS database (Workday). Collaborate with HRIS to improve system tracking and reporting

• Monitor, measure, and report on global mobility program health, including a global mobility ‘scorecard’

• Use data and metrics to inform recommendations and decision making

• Other duties as assigned

Key Working Relationships:

Position Reports to: Senior Director, Global Compensation & Benefits

Position Directly Supervises: Global Mobility Associate, Global Workforce Senior Coordinator, Global Workforce Associate

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree required – Preferably in Human Resources or International Business

• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in global mobility design and administration for a large, multi-national organization

• Demonstrated analytical, planning, organizational and problem solving skills, including data analysis and interpretation skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable dealing with employees and management at all levels of the organization

• Ability to work independently; excellent judgment

• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills with a DEI focus

• Intermediate excel skills

• Experience with handling multiple priorities concurrently in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to travel 5-10% of the time

• Certified Relocation Professional, Global Mobility Specialist, Certified Compensation Professional, or similar training designations a plus

• Fluency in Arabic, Spanish or French a plus

Compensation:

Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
