Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

In December 2020, UNDP Guinea-Bissau opened its Development Accelerator Lab, which is a new service offering that works with people, governments and the private sector to re-imagine development for the 21st century. Through long-standing partnerships with governments, we are creating a capacity for choice makers to explore, experiment and develop portfolios of mutually reinforcing solutions to tackle complex challenges from multiple angles.

The Accelerator Lab's objective surrounds the frontier challenge that encompasses the provision of public services, more specifically "quality and basic public services" to narrow the focus of the Laboratory's projects. Importantly, the Accelerator Lab's methodology is inspired by local solutions that already work – regardless of whether it's a popular invention, an alternative policy solution, or a business that makes the world a better place. The Accelerator Lab radically drives learning about what works by operating as a globally integrated network where each lab learns from the rest, exploring multiple solutions simultaneously, and designing experiments that teach us whether solutions can work and grow in weeks or months, at the end of years. The Accelerator Lab's network is part of UNDP's broader efforts to expand the way the organization invests, thinks and delivers development.

With the Accelerator Lab's first year anniversary fast approaching, a synthesis of the work carried out by the team is needed. The retreat will serve as an opportunity for reflection, beginning to create an annual work plan of the cycles completed between 2020-21.

Creation and design of Guinea-Bissau Accelerator Lab annual report. The report will include information about all the relevant cycles the Lab has conducted in it's first year. It will be very visual and summarized document. Pictures and text will be provided as well as template of work conducted by other Labs for guidance.
