The UNRCCA Preventive Diplomacy Academy (PDA) is an annual 10-month-longeducational platform for young people from Central Asia and Afghanistan aimed at building connections with the region's youth, creating a culture of conflict prevention, in line with UNSC Resolutions 2250, 2419, and2535 on YPS and the UN Youth Agenda.
Each year, the ten best students are selected to have a unique opportunity to participate in the annual Deputy Foreign Ministers meeting and address the most pressing issues of their generation in an open dialogue with government representatives. Young men and women join this unique platform to voice their concerns and propose concrete solutions to the challenges that young people consider crucial for the peaceful development of their countries.
To further highlight and enhance the PDA results, the UNRCCA team is seeking to collaborate with qualified Online Volunteer through this assignment. The Online Volunteer will closely support the UNRCCA team by creating a promotional video to highlight the youth engagement in the Central Asian region, using existing material, pictures, videos and data.
The UNRCCA is seeking the support of a motivated Online Volunteer to create one 3-5min long appealing informative video for the annual Deputy Foreign Ministers meeting.
The assignment will be fully virtual, Online Volunteer will be provided with further details of the assignment and the design guideline during the online orientation.
Selected Online Volunteers are expected to start the assignment on 21 October 2024
Proven previous experience in creating promotional videos that are visually appealing and engaging for donors and policy makers. The selected Online Volunteer will be responsible for: - preparing the creative vision of such video (in consultation with the UNRCCA team) - editing the video to targeted length and specifications - handling and organizing raw and edited video files - adjusting formats and file sizes as needed - arranging, assembling, and processing of recorded and stock video clips into one - work closely with the UNRCCA team to ensure alignment with project goals, exploring different versions and directions - adhering to established guidelines to effectively convey the message
Required skills - Proven previous experience in video editing - Proficient in various non-linear video editing tools and other software (Edius, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom) - Deep understanding of digital trends and editing principles - Creative and innovative - Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
