UNICEF's Public Partnerships Division (PPD) works to strengthen UNICEF's position as a partner of choice for children's rights among governments and public actors around the world. The Division engages in evidence-based policy advocacy and resource mobilization to support children across the globe through the implementation of UNICEF’s Strategic Plan 2018-2021 and the Agenda 2030.

In collaboration with other Divisions and offices, PPD mobilizes and manages partnerships, including government and intergovernmental partners, UN pooled funding mechanisms, Global Programme Partnerships, International Financial Institutions and innovative financing mechanisms. ​​

How can you make a difference?

Under the supervision of the PPD Operations Manager, the incumbent will provide insight into and support to the establishment and delivery of the UNISON/Salesforce Customer Relationship Management application in PPD with specific focus on its Account Management functionality.

This role will directly contribute to the success of establishing a digital platform in pursuit of the organization’s goal to manage public sector donor relationship information on a world class digital platform. Specific deliverables of this job will contribute to the success of the next generation of UNICEF public sector fundraising and advocacy system ensuring that these systems are both fit for purpose and optimized.

Description of the assignment

  • After consulting relevant PPD staff, draft a process description document for creating and maintaining donor account structures recognising the agreed upon differences that may exist for different donors.
  • After consulting relevant PPD staff, draft a process description document setting out the structure of and procedure for maintaining activity records (meetings, calls, emails, etc.) for donor accounts.
  • Once process description documents have been approved, support the PPD Teams globally with the implementation of donor account management and activity recording in Salesforce within their teams.
  • Maintain key KPIs on the teams' adoption status/progress.
  • Prepare a monthly progress report for PPD senior management.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in management information systems, computer science, business administration, information technology management or other related social science field. *A first University Degree in a relevant field combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in providing technology-based business solutions in a large international organization and/or corporation is preferred, as elaborated below:
    • Customer relationship management solutions (preferably Salesforce); and
    • Donor relationship management in an International Not for Profit environment.
  • Familiarity with country office fundraising activities is considered an asset.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.

While mobility is a condition of international professional employment with UNICEF and an underlying premise of the international civil service, it is not foreseen that this consultancy will involve travel.
