People and Organizations Development Consultant (****Human Resources Strategy and Organization Culture) – Jakarta

Background

Save the Children Indonesia (SC IDN) gained the status as an Associate Member Country in November 2019. In 2021, SC IDN’s Board of Patron has approved the transformation towards a Diversified Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) business model with the ambition of achieving tripling impact in 2030. One of the focuses of transformation is through strengthening organizational internal capabilities to become more effective and efficient.

By 2030, SC IDN hope to have strong operational and organizational capabilities at SC IDN will be in place to deliver tripling impacts and financial sustainability. These capabilities include governance, people (leadership, competencies, culture, structure), process, systems, policies, IT and data.

Currently Save the Children Indonesia is looking for a consultancy role of Human Resources Strategy and Organization Culture to help with streamlining human resources business process, perform coaching for HR Operations Manager, and organization culture workplan to support the organization’s transformation journey.

Objectives

The Consultant will report to the People and Organization Development Lead and will work closely with People and Organization Development team and Transformation unit.

The Consultant will be expected to be involved in HR strategic planning, workplan planning, initiating culture transformation, developing incentives and remuneration plan to motivates employees, review business process, implementation of day-to-day HR operations.

Scope of Work

The Consultant will be expected to deliver day-to-day responsibilities as follows:

  • Work with People and Organization Development Lead to develop People strategy focus to support the organization’s transformation.
  • Perform Coaching for HR Operations Manager on leadership and
  • Develop initiatives on behaviour change to support Transformation culture.
  • Develop incentive and remuneration plan for hard to fill position or high-level roles.
  • Reviewing POD business process, this includes segregation of duties amongst team member as HRBP, provide recommendation on POD business process simplification and guidelines/procedures that should be made available to support the HRBP model.

Deliverables

Deliverables are submitted monthly, along with the record of monthly activities, to be reviewed and approved by the supervisor and organization. Deliverables may include but are not limited to the following:

  • People strategy focus aligned with transformation goals
  • Culture transformation plan (assessment, implementation, evaluation, and future roadmap)
  • Incentive and remuneration plan
  • Assessment of POD business process
  • Mini leadership coaching for HR Operations Manager

Qualifications and Experience Skills

Essential

  • A degree in relevant study, master's degree is preferred
  • Minimum 10-year experience in Human Resources or Business Operations
  • Minimum 5-year experience as Senior role (Senior Manager/Head/Director) in Human Resources or Business Operations. Having experience running team in HRBP context.
  • Having hands on experience in handling change management and work on organization culture initiatives.
  • Strong understanding in Indonesia manpower law (UU ketenagakerjaan)
  • Experience in developing salary structure
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient at project planning, budgeting, and project oversight
  • Excellent written/spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Competency in Microsoft 365 applications

Desirable

  • Previous experience in other child-focused organizations in the non-profit sector
  • Competency in quantitative or qualitative research
  • Certified Human Resources Business Partner
  • Having working experience in multinational environment would be an advantage
