In line with its Strategic Plan 2020 – 2024, the Global CP AoR is dedicated in supporting the World Humanitarian Summit Outcomes and the Grand Bargain commitments on localisation in the coordination of child protection responses in humanitarian crises. This includes supporting to increase participation, representation, and leadership of Local and National Actors (L/NAs) in humanitarian coordination and decision – making spaces; strengthening institutional and technical capacities of L/NAs; advocating for quality funding to L/NAs and promoting humanitarian principled partnerships among L/NAs and International Actors.

The Global CP AoR recognizes that language can be a factor of inclusion or exclusion in promoting localisation. It is on this basis that the Global CP AoR will be developing and rolling out language specific localisation tools, resources and guides that will target the English, Arabic, French and Spanish speaking humanitarian actors. The exercise will be conducted in phases. The first phase will be compiling of localisation resources in Spanish language.

We are seeking a Spanish and English speaking Online Volunteer who is passionate about localisation and research. The Online Volunteer will support the Global CP AoR in conducting research and collating localisation related tools, resources and guides written in Spanish. These materials collated will be shared widely to Spanish speaking humanitarian actors for cross-learning and capacity exchange.

The right candidate must have the following experience: - Be familiar with Humanitarian Response - Be familiar with Child Protection in Humanitarian Action - Be familiar with Localisation - Be fluent in English and Spanish. - Attention to detail.
