In 2020, the IRC and our program partners provided: 31 million people with access to health services, 410,000 children under 5 with nutrition treatment, 2.6 million people with clean water, 1.1 million people with cash relief, 819,500 children with schooling and education opportunities, 1.2 million people with gender-based violence awareness, 13,413 small businesses with business development support, and 5,237 people to become U.S. citizens.

JOB Overview

Our global Headquarters which is comprised of a team of 1,200+ staff in departments focused on Facilities, Finance, Gender Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, General Counsel, Global Supply Chain, HR, IT, Research & Innovation, President’s Office, and Strategy Unit, continues to see exponential growth and change. We are looking for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced organization, being very flexible about their day-to-day work, enjoy working with people from different cultures, and not easily stressed by an environment where guidelines may change and be ambiguous at times. The situation is fluid and can shift quickly, but those who enjoy this type of role know they are helping people achieve our mission.

Major Responsibilities

- Conduct compensation analysis to settle appropriate salary according to compensation philosophy, principles, and guidelines. - Evaluate job grade based on HR Partner requests for new or expanded jobs using our job grade. structure and criteria, as well as alignment with other jobs within the organization. - Assist the writing of new job descriptions and revision of current ones. - Develop a streamlined job description template for job evaluation purposes. - Provide consultation, coaching and recommendations to our HR partners and Talent Acquisition to ensure effective use of compensation data including job profile/codes, titles, grades/job levels. - We’ll trust you to apply compensation expertise, sector insights, internal strategy to craft/improve job evaluation criteria. - Collaborate to the development and harmonization of IRCs job evaluation methodology and process globally. - Clients and colleagues will rely on you to build dynamic tools/models to facilitate education on job evaluation, tools, and practices to strengthen HR and Talent Acquisition knowledge. - Create and maintain strong relationships with key partners and serve as subject matter authority on all elements of job analysis, documentation, and job hierarchy worth. - Provide regular guidance and respond to compensation process questions and provide administrative support for special exceptions. - Participate as an active team member. Stay on top of trends and demonstrate this insight to identify and develop appropriate compensation strategies and solution. - Other duties as assigned. IRC is a fast-paced organization, and duties will evolve and change over time.

Job Requirements

Education: A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required

Work Experience: 3-6 years of related experience with technical compensation matters

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies

- In depth knowledge of salary structure design, job assessment and fundamental compensation principles. - Ability to do several tasks simultaneously, meet timeline, and work effectively in a matrix organization. - Shown technical, analytical, and financial modeling skills. Knowledge and experience with using excel for data analysis. - Experience working with internal clients/partners. - Experience conducting job reviews and/or organizational design; strong competence in reviewing and slating positions, analyzing job descriptions, and making salary recommendations based on internal equity analyses. - Experience with project management and delivering special HR projects. - Ability to quickly build strong working relationships, deploy influence, with managers and staff at all levels. - Shown problem solving and client service skills: the ability to provide support to staff and guide managers. - Experience in supporting a client group of 300+ employees preferred. - Experience in a multi-cultural and/or non-profit organization preferred.
