Assisting with the design, implementation, and monitoring of the UN joint communications strategy for Ukraine, aligned to the UN Global Communications Strategy and with the global and UN Country Team communications priorities; supporting the development and implementation of country-wide strategic communications campaigns and activities targeted to local audiences; adapting and localizing global communications and advocacy priorities promoting the work of the United Nations in Ukraine .
With this task the United Nations Office in Kyiv – which is part of the global network of United Nations Information Centres and integrated with the Resident Coordinator Office in Ukraine – aims to support its localized communications strategy by having public information materials developed and available in both Ukrainian and English.
The selected candidates will have the opportunity to work with UNO Kyiv colleagues, to implement the communications strategy and provide ideas and prepare content for public information and communications content in Ukraine.
We are seeking 2 online Volunteers to support us in developing multimedia communications campaigns and products, social media content, and conducting digital outreach, in Ukrainian and English. 1 Online Volunteer will be assigned to work on UNO Kyiv’s social media channels, while the other volunteer will be asked to work on content for the UN Ukraine website. The task includes identifying communications needs and developing:
- 4-5 social media cards/posts/stories per week (for the Online Volunteer assigned to social media)
- 1-2 online news items of 500 words or more (for the Online Volunteer assigned to website content)
The selected Online Volunteers will be briefed on the target audience and our communications guidelines, as well as other guidance as needed.
