Contract

This is a P-4 contract. This kind of contract is known as Professional and Director staff. It is normally internationally recruited only. It's a staff contract. It usually requires 7 years of experience, depending on education.

Salary

The salary for this job should be between 133,726 USD and 172,412 USD.

Salary for a P-4 contract in Istanbul

The international rate of 90,970 USD, with an additional 47% (post adjustment) at this the location, applies. Please note that depending on the location, a higher post adjustment might still result in a lower purchasing power.

As the primary learning focal point for UNICEF's senior leadership positions, you will be responsible for developing and implementing talent development strategies, leadership development programs that will enable succession management, talent acquisition, and knowledge management and evaluations.

As a member of the UNICEF Talent Development Team, you will have the opportunity to support and develop the skills of UNICEF's leaders and managers who are committed to delivering results for children. You will work closely with other teams and units in DHR and the global HR community to strengthen leadership capability and managerial capacity.

In addition to designing and implementing strategies for senior leadership capacity building and development, you will lead the development and design of leadership learning programs and curricula also for staff in the senior leadership pipelines. You will also be responsible for coordinating and supervising the development of learning initiatives to strengthen the capabilities of senior executives and leaders, to deliver on strategic and other organizational priorities e.g. the Strategic Plan, Culture Change, Diversity and Gender

As the HR Manager (Leadership Development), you will contribute to the coordination of Executive Coaches, and other learning focal persons to prevent gaps, overlaps, and duplication of efforts. As the HR Manager (Management Development and Core Learning), you will be responsible for designing and implementing the talent development strategy, monitoring progress, and making necessary adjustments to best practices. Additionally, you will lead the development of leadership learning programs and curricula for staff transitioning to managerial and supervisory positions. You will also coordinate and supervise learning initiatives to strengthen the capabilities of staff and managers working in development and often volatile environments. In addition, you will manage the development of all core programmes including those developed for specific groups of staff including National Staff etc. You will also oversee quality assurance for all programme curriculum developed as well as programme design and delivery.

As the Human Resources Manager (Career Development), you will, design and implement UNICEF’s career development strategy. You will provide technical leadership, monitor progress, and make necessary adjustments based on best practices, lessons learned, and continuous feedback.

Leading the design, implementation, and enhancement of career development programs for staff, you will ensure that programs and materials facilitate/support the delivery of strategic and other organizational priorities. You will also be responsible for coordinating the implementation of other career development approaches, such as coaching, mentoring, and facilitated conversations.

In addition, you will develop systems, tools, and processes that help staff navigate their careers within the organization, based on their strengths, potential, and enhanced understanding of their learning needs. You will ensure that UNICEF’s existing learning platforms contain up-to-date materials and resources, are user-friendly, and easily accessible to staff and HR professionals.

General Responsibilities:

In addition to the above specific responsibilities for each role, each post holder will have to contribute to the general team responsibilities below.

Work closely with HR Business Partners to provide tailored programmes or coaching to meet specific needs. Contribute to the coordination of management reporting and office management work plan design, to ensure alignment with the UNICEF Strategic Plan and organizational frameworks. Support the implementation of an effective budgeting practices and contracts management system for the talent development team and monitor financial expenditures, funds utilization whilst ensuring compliance with UNICEF rules and regulations.
